As we go through life we
gather toys to play with, as time passes we sell them, trade them, lose them
break them and throw them away.
In my life I have purchased
toys that originally sold new for around $5200.00 and are now worth a whole lot more, most are
now gone, looking back is hindsight which gives you gray hair, gas and
ulcers, as you look at these toys that no longer exist or belong to someone
else, or in the case of The Cobra Dragonsnake "EL CID" which is now resting in the
NHRA Museum, keep a good thought about the future, there are
always more toys for those our age, and some of them even have nice
tits.
Live for the moment, screw the
past.
I borrowed a couple of these pictures from my Pal,
Joe Pierce in Arizona, Joe has built and raced some amazing cars during his
career including the red Nova pictured, along with us was Ronald (Fosdick) Fassl another builder and driver originally from NY, needless to say our racing days are over
but guaranteed we could write a book on our combined history, also guaranteed,
no one would believe it. Ask Ron about the time we out ran the Scottsdale PD on our Harleys and I ended up in an apartment house swimming pool, Sporster and all.
